Our focus will be on the four seasons! Four projects will use a combination of acrylic on canvas, watercolor, colored pencils, paper and more! Silhouette Paintings (ages 13-99) Participants will create two silhouette projects: gesso on chalkboard and watercolor incorporating India ink. No art skills needed. All supplies provided. Faux Stained Glass Painting (ages 13-99)
How did you do that? Easily create a stained glass look on an 8x10 framed glass. Participants will choose from a variety of designs (or create their own). Wool Felting (ages 13-99)
This class will teach you to make decorative and useful items with wool, soap, and water. Wool has been used through the centuries because it is a warm, wicking, nonflammable fiber that repels dirt and odors. Come discover a new art medium! In this wet-felting class, you will make a flat, square picture that can either be framed or used as a decorative trivet. You will also make a small trinket bowl. All supplies provided. Knotting Blankets (ages 18-99)With just a piece of thread and a knot, you can help assemble comforter blankets for missions! The LCMC Sewing Circle will give basic instructions to help create blankets that will be shipped around the world for humanity aid relief through Mennonite Central Committee. Learn to cut, stitch, and piece yo-yo rosettes into decorative and useful
items. Yo-yo piecing was popular in the 1920-40s, especially during the Great
Depression, because it was a way to make use of fabric scraps. This blast from
the past has enjoyed a resurgence of interest in recent years and can be a way

Participants will work on composition and lighting for still life and landscape photography. Bring a point and shoot digital camera (not a phone). And SD card will be provided. $20 for all 3 days. Instructor: Linda Geissinger

NEW: Basic Cooking: THIS CLASS IS FULL
The participants in the children's cooking class will be making some breakfast and lunch meals, from scratch, using a variety of colors and textures of food. All the ingredients and utensils needed to make the meals will be provided. Besides having food samples to take home each participant will receive an apron. $20 for all 3 days. Children’s Art:
Children will further their artistic skills with hands-on projects that will include pour painting, acrylic canvas painting, and string art. All projects this year will focus on the theme of the cross. $20 for all 3 days. Instructor: Judy Mummau

Family and friends are welcome to join us for an informal Art Show. Participants' artwork will be on display for viewing. No program this year. An Ice Cream Social will be provided. Please bring a snack to share.

Each art class requires a registration fee to cover supplies and ensure participation. If the class does not use all the registration fee, we will donate the excess funds to Friendship Heart Gallery. It is an extension of Friendship Community, which provides value through artistic expression to Artists with intellectual disabilities.

Transform a wrapped canvas into a masterpiece with your own colorful string art design. Available for adults 18 and older. Instructor Destiny Moyer
NEW: Drawing PortraitsCreate a portrait pencil drawing! Adults and teens are encouraged to bring a clear 5x7 or 8x10 portrait photograph to aid in their beginner drawings. Instructor: Aimee Hubley
Drawing Skills
Basic drawing skills will be enhanced as you bring to life a simple pencil drawing of a rose. Instructor: Donnie Martin

Children’s Art Class
Children ages 7 to 12 will further their artistic skills by using acrylic paint, watercolor, and paper sculpture to create 3 lighthouse projects.
Instructor: Judy Mummau
Wednesday, June 20, 7:30 pm. Art Show for family and friends of the participants. The children will present their finished projects while they point out their favorite parts of their artwork. Teens and adults will also have the option to display their work. Ice Cream Social to follow program. Bring a snack to share.
