Kids Cowboy Art Class
AGES: 7-12
Howdy Partner! Kids will have a blast creating three cowboy themed projects during Art Camp. Paint a ceramic cowboy boot, a horse or canvas, and even a cowboy hat! Also learn to draw a horse. Photography 101 Class
Ages 13 - Adult
Participants will work on composition and lighting for still life and landscape photography. Fun challenges and class contests. Enameling on Metal Class
Ages 13-Adult

Needle Felting
Ages 13-Adult
This class will teach you to how to needle felt a picture using wool roving, and pre-felted wool fabric. Come discover a new art medium! Wool has been used through the centuries because it is a natural fiber that is warm, wicking, nonflammable and repels dirt and odors. In this class, you will create a picture that be framed. Basics of needle felting will be shared and students will also have the opportunity to try simple 3-D needle felting techniques and explore ways to embellish wool garments. All supplies provided. Clay Hand Building
Ages 16-Adult
The hand built pottery class will allow students ages 16 and older to create functional objects of a pinch pot and a simple box. Tools will be used to carve as well as create designs to add creativity. The students will pick their glazes, and the instructors will paint the projects, which will then be fired in the kiln. When completed in the kiln, the ceramic projects will then be returned to the students for pick up after being sealed with a beautiful glaze. All supplies provided. COST: $25. Everyone is welcome to join the ONE HOUR free Hymn Sing during Art Camp! Enjoy the classic hymns of faith sung in 4 part harmony. When you register, please select which part you sing: soprano, alto, tenor, bass, or unknown. If you don't know which part you sing, come and find out in this relaxed atmosphere. HOUR 2 (optional): You have the choice to stay and learn more: how to use a pitch pipe, how to lead 4 part singing, etc. You may also stay in the room and relax if you have students in other classes. Faux Stained Glass Painting (ages 13-99)
How did you do that? Easily create a stained glass look on an 8x10 framed glass. Participants will choose from a variety of designs (or create their own). The LCMC Sewing Circle will give basic instructions to help create blankets that will be shipped around the world for humanity aid relief through Mennonite Central Committee. Curious about how stained-glass windows are made? We will teach the foil method of constructing a 6" x 6" stained glass quilt square panel. Participants will choose from either a "fools puzzle" pattern or a "pinwheel" pattern. Each pattern can be assembled in a multitude of ways to have a unique finished piece. No cutting of glass. All supplies, tools and materials will be provided. If you have your own personal safety glasses, we encourage you to bring them. Available for Ages 18 and older. NEW: Yo-Yo Piecing – A Blast from the Past, Ages 13 - Adult
Learn to cut, stitch, and piece yo-yo rosettes into decorative and useful
items. Yo-yo piecing was popular in the 1920-40s, especially during the Great
Depression, because it was a way to make use of fabric scraps. This blast from
the past has enjoyed a resurgence of interest in recent years and can be a way

The children's art class will paint projects around the theme of winter. A canvas will be painted with a winter sunset and animal pattern of their choice. Watercolor Painting for Teens & Adults

2021 Kids Art Classes Ages 7-12
Basic Cooking - CLASS IS FULL
The participants in the
children's cooking class will be making some breakfast and lunch meals, from
scratch, using a variety of colors and textures of food. All the ingredients
and utensils needed to make the meals will be provided. Besides having food
samples to take home each participant will receive an apron. $20 for all 3

Kids Fishy Art
Children will further their artistic skills with hands-on projects that will
include ceramics, acrylic painting, and papercrafts. All projects this year

2021 Adult Beginner Art Classes
Stained-Glass - CLASS IS FULL
Curious
about how stained-glass windows are made? Participants choose a pre-cut kit and
learn the foil method of assembly by creating an 8" quilt square. An
assortment of designs and colors of quilt squares will be available. No cutting
of glass. All supplies, tools and materials will be provided. If you have your
own personal safety glasses, we encourage you to bring them. Available for Ages 18 and older. Cost $40 for all 3 days.
